In the autumn of 2020, a letter sculpture was ordered from the K-ARTS Art Foundation which invented in front of the Győr City Hall. Can be seen in many cities nowadays this kind of decorative element, it is probably fashionable to install a set of letters. The plans for the installation of Győr invented by a local sculptor, Ferenc Lebó, following the American pop artist Robert Indiana, to whom the first successful letter sculptures can be linked.
The fusion between of the letters of Győr and the heart motive resulted a 3.5x3.1x1.2 meter sized work of art. The body is quite robust, requiring static reinforcement as it weighs 1.3 tons. The work was made of painted weather-resistant steel sheet, reinforced with an internal stiffening structure. The on-site installation was also the responsibility of K-ARTS. The operation took place on January 26, 2021. The placement and fixation of the statue received great attention. City leaders took possession of the work with satisfaction.
The LOVE GYŐR sculpture continues to live as a design element that is part of urban marketing. The establishment is an important moment for the city in the series of ceremonies at the county seat, because the city of Győr is celebrating the 750th anniversary of the declaration as a royal city in this year.
We are still open to make an enlarged love confession, logos, letter sculpture, boxed installation for any cities or companies. Creativity can't set limits either!
