A compilation exhibition of K-ARTS Arts Collection – Kecskemét, Hírös Agóra
On the occasion of the Hungarian Culture Day, our selection exhibition entitled Metszéspont (Intersection) was opened on 22 January, 2022 in the Hírös Agóra in Kecskemét.
The cultural center presents a selection of abstract paintings with hyperrealistic and sociographic images, together with metallic plastics. This cross-section seeks to show how wide the boundaries of contemporary art can be. By mid-February, the audience can see the works of the following, among others: Andor Becskei, Imre Bukta, József Bullás, Vanda Dóra Demcsák, Emese Dóra, Bianka Dobó, Szilárd Cseke, Zsolt Ecsedi, Ágnes Eperjesi, Apolka Erős, Pál Gerber, Margit Gerle, Nedim Hadziahmetovic (Serbia), Collin Hope (New Zealand), Tamás Kopasz, Adrián Kupcsik, Zsolt Áron Majoros, Gyula Majoros, Péter Mátyási, Tamás Mike, Kriszta Nagy, Antal Plank, Krisztián Tibor Pál, Judit Rabóczky, Meghan Salgaonkar (India), Attila Stark, Judit Szilvási, József Szurcsik, Béla Tettamanti, Lata Upadhyaya (Great Britain).
In connection with the exhibition, we built a large-scale steel installation in the square in front of the building in accordance with KÉSZ40!, the elements of which were manufactured by KÉSZ Ipari Gyártó Kft. For the 40th birthday of KÉSZ GROUP this year, 40 steel discs, adorned with the handprints of KÉSZ employees (460 kg each!) were placed in the square in the form of a hexagon. The freshly painted model node of the athletic stadium was inserted into the center of the hexagon mold, weighing almost 8 tons.
The Metszéspont exhibition was launched with the performance of Béla Sevecsek, instrument maker and steel tongue drum musician. Then Ádám Szabó sculptor, docent (Hungarian University of Fine Arts) introduced the exhibition to the audience.
Our exhibition closes on 14 February, 2022.
