La Biennale di Venezia 2026 - The K-ARTS is a proud supporter of the hungarian artists

The award-winning tender for the Hungarian pavilion of the 2026 Venice Biennale of Fine Arts was announced a few days ago. The winner was the exhibition Pneuma Cosmic, with the curator Luca Cserhalmi and visual artist Endre Koronczi.

Endré Koronczi was inspired by the grandiose ventilation system elements that were changed due to the renovation of the headquarters of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He believed that, if only symbolically, but invisibly responsible for the breathing of the building, the metal devices "preserve the breath, sighs, and oxygen passing through the brains of the greats of the hungarian scientific life". He then created a monumental installation with the curator Luca Cserhalmi from the objects condemned to be thrown out, which the public could see in the first half of 2024 in Budapest, at the Godot Contemporary Art Institute. This idea continued to soar and will soon fly all the way to Venice.

The more observant could also see the name of the K-ARTS Art Foundation appearing in the news in many places, since the art organization of the KÉSZ Group undertook the removal and safe placement of the old airventillation elements that formed the backbone of the installation and were removed from the MTA headquarters. Even at the moment, the boxes park at the Kecskemét factory site and will go next year to the world's largest fine arts parade to represent our small country. Thus, the K-ARTS Art Foundation feels a little bit of the success as a "logistics sponsor" and proudly congratulates the creators!

Speaking about our home, Kecskemét, it is a special pride that the former student of the Kodály Institute, Máté Balogh, a contemporary composer from our city, became the sound master of the project, who will create sounds and compose music from/with these air technology elements, which will enthrall the visitors at the exhibition of the Hungarian pavilion.

We are proud of Luca, Endre, Máté, as well as all the participants and supporters, their tireless work, their inspiring talent and enthusiasm, and of course the fact that we were able to help them - if only with a small step - on the road to success.
