18th KECSKEMÉT STEEL SCULPTING and VISUAL ARTS SYMPOSIUM, International Art Camp
2–16 August, 2021; Kecskemét, KÉSZ Industrial and Innovation Park
On 2 August, 2021, the 18th Kecskemét Steel Sculpting and Visual Arts Symposium (KASZ+ 2021), International Art Camp began in the area of KÉSZ Industrial and Innovation Park.
The steel and metallic workshop, launched in 2004, has given more than a hundred artists the opportunity to unleash their artistic energies, experiment and create with an industrial background. The real significance of the program without an age limit is in the latter, because Hungarian artists rarely have the opportunity to create their works with industrial tools, with the help of factories and the assistance of engineers.
This year, the artists of the now grown-up creation site received the theme of “Transition” from the organizers as a basis for the formulation of their works. We would like to emphasize the free transition between different branches of art, ideas and techniques, and the unhindered possibility of creative changes.
Participants of KASZ+ 2021: Andor Becskei sculptor, Bianka Dobó graphic artist, Ágoston Mihály Gyurcsovics sculptor, Ágnes Horváth builder, artist, Gyula Majoros artist, Mihály Parizán sculptor, Katja Pál (Slovenia) painter, Brigitta Péntek painter.
We hope that the special atmosphere of the industrial environment will give inspired moments to the artists and enrich the Hungarian artistic palette, i.e. KASZ with their works.
